Before black holes were detected there was evidence they might exist, in that theories of physics that accounted for aspects of the universe we could detect also predicted black holes. But nothing was certain until someone actual detected some.
We could posit the existence of a god without direct evidence if there were some other evidence suggesting its existence. But there isn't. And Mad Kally can reach under my pillow anytime! |
