Racially-motivated violence is far from over, ybnormal, no question about it. I read about the Johnson case (or lack thereof) last year sometime. He was found with his knees bent, feet touching the ground, hanging from a belt not his own 2 days after he drove a white girlfriend home. The subsequent suicide ruling makes it a textbook lynching. Nauseating.

However, what I was trying to say in the stringing people up sentence is that many people equate racism and violence, thereby letting themselves off the hook if their bigotry is of a more contemplative variety.

Pardon my lack of clarity. I blame the flurry of pronouns.
