Talking In the Garden of Not so Good and Kinda Evil

If they hadn't eaten from the tree of KNOWLEDGE yet, how were they supposed to KNOW not to listen to the serpent??? If they didn't KNOW anything, how are they supposed to KNOW that what the serpent is telling them is evil or wrong or that God didn't send the serpent to tell them to eat from the tree? How are they even supposed to know what punishment is or to what extent it might be? This story doesn't suggest that humanity is being punished for its sins, rather we are being punished because of our ignorance.

Kind of funny rather, believers are being punished because of their ignorance. Isn't that so true, suddenly I like this story...

Maybe they could've solved the whole thing if they just didn't eat the "happy plants" that made them hallucinate and think that a snake was talking to them...

So heaven will have no free will then? But you're always going on about how we 'won't want to sin in heaven'. Essentially that would be the same as the situation I described - having choices that people DON'T want to do is the same as having no free will, according to you - because there are choices that never get picked.
