Letter to the editor published
You may have heard about the controversy over graduation prayers here in Colorado - the ACLU tried to block sectarian prayers from being said at a graduation, and a judge endorsed the prayers...
I wrote in about this; my letter is the ninth one down on this page: <a href="http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36%257E416%257E660546,00.html" target="_blank">http://www.denverpost.com/Stories/0,1413,36%257E416%257E660546,00.html</a> |

Congratulations on the letter. It looks as if this has created quite a stir out there.
It takes a certain amount of courage to do what you did. I thank you for taking action when you felt it needed to be done. One thing I thought I would do is to write a letter concerning the Pledge of Allegiance. With Flag Day coming up this coming Friday, it might be nice if several people just wrote to the editor of their papers with the original text of the pledge. One would not need to make any statemnt, just let the absence of "under god" speak for itself. One could also mention the original national motto. |
