A few days ago I passed a church that had its name on a large sign. The sign read "Our Lady Queen of the Universe Catholic Church."

Come on, Catholics. I mean, come on. That sounds like a name my four-year-old granddaughter would think up; she favors names like that. Why make your religion appear MORE ridiculous than it already appears? Who would go to a church named that?

Thats the funniest church name I've ever heard. What state is it in?

I guess the title " Mother Of All Nations" just wasn't enough to satisfy her ego.

I did an Internet search and

"Our Lady Queen of the Universe"

returned several hits, including references to several Catholic churches.

I also got several hits for "Mother of All Nations".

And also such deities as Artemis and Kali. Mary seems to be a very wimpy mother-goddess.
