Can a xian be a nudist? Surely this goes against paul's " women should wear" etc..? Go to any search engine and type "christian naturalists" and
there's a TON of sites!! What do other xians think on this matter?

Hold on, let me think about this.
The reason why Adam and Eve noticed that they were naked and became ashamed in the first place was because they ate from the Tree of Knowledge. They clothed themselves because, after consumption of the fruit, they became enlightened, and so acted upon their newfound knowledge.

The main point (actually - the only point I could find on those sites) of these orginazations is that humans we originally created naked and unashamed of their nakedness - pure, or innocent. Could this be a subsonscious yearning of the Christian nudists to regress back into the times of pre-enlightenment? Wouldn't it make sense for them to wish to be ignorant of the world's truths just as Adam and Eve, supposedly, once were?

Isn't that what most Christian organizations are trying to do today?

One minor correction...

Nudists are naturists, not naturalists.

I have exactly four thoughts about nudism:

1) I'm glad I can't see most other people nude.

2) Most other people are glad they can't see me nude.

3) Allowing public nudity would create an abrupt, temporary increase in the number of minor traffic accidents.

4) Most Americans have a real problem if they think a nude human body is corrupting but see nothing wrong with turning on the TV and watching movies and shows that feature violence and gore splattered from the first minute to the last.

p.s. But one of my hobbies is figure sculpture, so I'm a biased observer.

Interesting. There was a Protestant Christian movement in the 16th/17th centuries in Europe called the Adamites. They, men and women, believed that true believers should go about naked, as were Adam and Eve when created in the Garden of Eden.

Picture: Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson, and Billy Graham at at Adamite worship service...

...or even better: Jan Crouch.

This last, I think, would sterilize me.

I especialy like the excuse " satan knows that if we were all nude, his pornography empire would fall". How exactly does praying nude help? Denshuu is right, when A+E realized they were nude, they tried to cover up! So they were ashamed, and since they got the knowledge of good and evil, obviously their concience kicked in. A case of 1+1=437 I think.
