The Catholic Church is actually corrupt? They do not want me to think for myself?

Later:

I have no authority to even speculate on this topic.

Everyone needs prayers.
Nothing fails like prayer, except maybe trying to cover up a sex abuse scandal in the Catholic Church.

Unfortunately, unlike prayer, the coverup actually worked for a while...

<<Further, I do not hold an office or position of power in the Roman Catholic Church.>>

Nor does any other woman.

Does the word "religious superior" mean anything to you? How about Catherine of Siena, Joan of Arc, or Teresa of Avila?

My own admittedly brief and incomplete research indicates that the NPR report may well be correct. If that's how it ultimately shakes out, it'd be a goddamned travesty. Here's a case in which I wouldn't mind seeing some "eye for an eye" retributive justice done. As an active facilitator of sexual abuse, Law should spend the remainder of his life in prison experiencing on a daily basis what it's like to be on the business end of such abuse.

Yes, those things mean something to me. They refer to self deluded people such as yourself, "more to be pitied than scorned."

You can abhor me, dislike me, curse me, try to de-convert me, but please, don't pity me.

There are starving children in the world.

Gemma

I do not abhor you, I do not dislike you, I would not curse you if I could, and I would not be so foolish as to try to de-convert you. I pity you.
