Not to beat a dead horse, but in the first case, the woman needs to feed her hungry child. I think it's pretty obvious that this takes precedence over cultural mores concerning the female nipple.

I know Diamond showed that people naturally like to have sex in privacy. But does that mean public sex should not be allowed?
No, that does not mean public sex should not be allowed, but that public sex apparently bothers most people enough to overcome their dislike of arresting people does. Personally, I do not require complete privacy, and sexual activity in a relatively public place can be quite entertaining.

It has always confused me that a woman's nipple is considered obscene or indecent while a man's nipple is ignored.

Does doing away with nudity bans mean doing away with bans on public lewdness? It does not follow.

I know from experience that nursing discreetly isn't always accepted. I can remember trying to nurse a 2 week old under a blanket in a Walmart bathroom and getting nasty comments and mother hiding their little girls' eyes. I was under a blanket hiding in a nasty bathroom for goodness' sake and it still wasn't good enough!

I finally decided that making a baby eat in a bathroom is nasty. I have always used a blanket or sling to cover up with when I have nursed in public. I've come to the conclusion that I would much rather deal with disapproving glares from strangers than listen to a screaming hungry baby.

I still don't understand what the big deal is with women's boobs. I've seen fat guys at the beach with bigger boobs than a lot of women. Why is it acceptable for them to wear no shirt, but I get dirty looks for nursing a baby under a blanket.

Frankly, I don't understand what the big deal with women's breasts is either. Oh, they contribute to an overall pleasing shape, but so do many other body parts, and personally I'd rather be staring at someone's ass or legs.

Anecdote again: My husband was wearing a toga at a science fiction convention, and was asked to cover up by a man on the hotel staff who was offended by the sight of his nipple.

(And, yes, I think he looks splendid in a toga!)

Two things:

1) The whelp doesn't need to eat then and there.
2) Bottles are around.

Also, why is the babies need for food seen as compelling but not a person's need for sexual satisfaction?

Also, adults then should be able to have a little drink once in a while too.

Like I said I don't want to see a woman feedong her pup, the pup won't die if its not fed out there and then. So no, I don't see why the "need to feed immediately in public" takes precedence over my need to not see it.

Yes I'd agree there, but it depends more or less on whether or not we've evolved to not like others having sex in public. This is not proven but if it was it'd give biological justification to such a norm and even law.

Tron:

So, you're a leg man.

I'm a breast man.

I won't knock your fetish, but don't knock mine.

OK?

Keith.
