"Now, thanks to our government, many children will grow up not believing in God."

<ChristBot>
Yes, how dare our government not teach our children to be Christians! I shouldn't have to teach my childern how to be religious, that is something they should learn in school, so us God fearing parents can spend our time watching TV and fishin'.

What's that you say? They're being taught in first grade to pray to Mecca and in second grade to speak in tounges! I will have none of that false worship! Please, ACLU, think of the children. Religion should be taught in the home!
</ChristBot>

*Sigh* I wish people who want schools to evangelize would stop being lazy and do it themselves. If they are so worried that children won't be exposed to Christ, why aren't they hanging around playgrounds and bus stops witnessing to third-graders?

You said it, Ron! In Hope's bizarre little world:

Did you ever believe that you would live to see the day that prayer would be banned from our schools?
Huh?! When the hell did this happen? I know I've been busy lately, but how did this manage to escape my attention?

Prayer in schools is often the only religion a lot of children ever know.
Bullshit. You can't swing a dead cat in the United States without hitting a fundy.

Quit whining and indoctrinate your own goddamn spawn. It's not government's job. <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

And to think that the public actually puts these atheists in office to run our God-fearing country!
Tell ya what, Hope. I'll give you a dollar for every elected official you can name who's an avowed atheist, and you give me a dollar for every elected official I can name who's an avowed believer in the Lawd Gawd Almighty.

Actually, I'm tempted to think that Hope's letter is a parody...it just seems too damned silly to be serious.

(I can only hope...no pun intended.)
