See what I mean, MrD? These are the words of a man possessing True Dumbth, not a smart man intentionally misleading people (well, he may do that too, to the meager extent that he is capable).

Caravelair, I like this one too:

"I have heard that the cable TV system is going to be set up where not only can you watch the TV, the TV can watch you to monitor what is in your room. Kinda like Orwell's 1984. Big Brother is watching, course in our case it will be Big Sister [Ma Bell] [.....] I'd suspect the technology is here where the TV can watch you, even if you have it shut off, your TV can watch you to see what is going on. "

Shout it, Brother Hovind!

And this one:

"Modern man could not build the great pyramid [sic] today. BTW the great pyramid [sic] does not have to be post flood. It could be a structure that went through the [Biblical] flood."

Yeah, except that the darn thing is composed of, and rests upon, Eocene limestone containing abundant Nummulites fossils that were supposedly deposited during or after the flood!

I found several more articles about this mummified dog on the web; apparently it's quite well-known (they even had a contest to name it!). All the articles identify it as mummified.

My personal favorite ( from the Hovind quote site ):

Quote:
Hovind
There may still be water above the stars- see Psalm 148:4, but it appears that the layer above our atmosphere fell down at the
time of the flood.
I hope the Shuttle has windshield whipers.

Kent Hovind:
Quote:
I can assure you that if any information I use in my seminar is proven to be inaccurate, I will remove it immediately.
Well, get on with it, Kent. So much to remove, so little time.

The ancient horse is a Hyracotherium, which was originally called the hyrax, is still alive today in Turkey and in East Africa.
That one killed a few brain cells....

If there was a canopy of water above the atmosphere when God first made it, Adam and Eve may have seen the stars more clearly than we do today
...and that one dropped my IQ by a point.

Of course there is always Walter Remine who argued that God gave cows an ineffecient digestive system so they wouldn't eat too much vegitation.

I think he said Pandas have an inefficient digestive system so they wouldn't eat too much bamboo.

WHAT???!!?? You've got to be kidding me. 60, maybe...and I think that would be giving him credit for a few points.

(edited): Actually, this other quote from "Dr." Hovind explains a lot:

Quote:
I did not even know what being a humanist meant. I was only sixteen, and the brain doesn't even start developing until about twenty.
