Apparently you're unaware that many of us are ex- christians. Don't be surprised if some atheists know the bible better than most xians. You seem to be under the impression that we know nothing of theology; or of biblical literalism. You think your warnings of hellfire are going to scare us, as if it's the first time we've heard it. Nothing could be farther from the truth. |

They are searching the site for proof that I'm "not a Christian" so they can ban me with a clear conscience from the Christian Only posting areas. Can you feel the love? |

....But with Christ you are covered in unimaginable love....
If you go to heaven, that's real nice. If you go to hell, it makes a great barbecue sauce! But what if eternity is out there? What if there is paradise? That's a lot of "what ifs". Gettin' mighty close to Pascal's Wager. What if you picked the wrong God, or the wrong way to placate that God to get your ticket to paradise? I try to live my life as decently as I can and not worry about what can't be known. If there is an afterlife, and a god governing that afterlife, then if that's not enough for him, bad on him. I am not content to believe that when we die that is it, ... If wishes were horses... ...time flies so fast that I will be done with this life real soon, besides I have Gods law and love written on my heart, I can't escape it. And you'd best hope you picked the right law to write on your heart. And why would I want to? I wouldn't, God loves me and I love God, I have a relationship with him that some would not understand, only other Christians. I am a former Christian, so I understand where you're coming from. Been there, done that, felt that feeling of "relationship". But it turns out it was just a feeling, I loved the concept of God, and all of it had nothing to do with reality. |
