Sourdough is correct.

P1: Theism is a belief.

P2: God doesn't believe in anything, he already knows everything since he is omniscient.

C1: Therefore God is an atheist.

We are just playing with definitions, but I'm having fun, so why stop?

99Percent, that's not right either. If Theism is simply a belief, ATHEISM IS THEISM! We *believe* there is no God. And that DEFINATELY can't be right.

If we accept for a moment that the Judeo-Christian-Islamic omni-god actually exists, then it has to be an atheist.

Does YHWH believe in a higher power that created it?

Obviously, the answer is no. And so, YHWH has no theistic belief, and is an atheist in the strongest sense of the word.

Which leads me to ask a few more questions:

Does YHWH ever ask itself, "why do I exist, instead of nothing"?

Does YHWH ever wonder, "what is the purpose of my existence, if there is nothing outside of me ... why do I even bother"?

And, does it ever think, "if there is no power greater than me, where do I get my sense of morality from"?

Greetings:

Atheism is not the belief that there are no superiour beings.

I believe that Einstein existed, and I believe that Arnold Schwarzeneggar exists. I believe in them, and they both are, in at least some ways, superiour to myself.

But, I am still an atheist.

Keith.

I don't see any contradictions with what we observe about the universe here... or for that matter, with what the Bible has to say!

Atheists believe there is nothing supernatural. Does God believe in the supernatural? Is he the whole of nature or is there something beyond him? If he believes the latter then he is a theist.

But if god exists then god can be defined as part of the natural world. Maybe the question should be "What kind of god does god believe exists?"

Greetings:

Also, if 'God' exists, and is omniscient, then 'God' is aware that 'God' is 'God'.

Thus, 'God' could not be both omniscient, and atheist.

That would be impossible. (Thus, such a 'God' could not be omnipotent...)

Keith.

Is atheism a mortal concept or a divine concept?
