Why must it be a He. Why not an it? Wouldn't "it" be a better designation considering it's properties illustrated in the bible?

Plus, if you accept that the god of the OT and NT is real (and the same god), he is referred to as 'he' and 'king' and other male designations so it would be as proper to refer to him as he as it would be to refer to Holden Caulfield as he.
