I think these arguments for the historicity of the holocaust are pretty convincing, especially considering that indeed very few jewish people live in germany nowadays.

The Holocaust Deniers are obsessed with the skeptics and keep trying to apply skeptical principles to prove that the Holocaust never happened. It is probably true that a certain amount of mythologizing has happened with the Holocaust, as it does with any historical event, but the physical evidence for the Holocaust is firm.

I can't. After a single paragraph, my brain attempts to shut down. So I just skimmed it and responded to the gist of the paper. If you want to actually discuss it, why don't you write a short summary of it's points and tell your opinion of them to the IIDB public?

It's an interesting argument. Now that the skeptics have exposed Holocaust Denial as pseudoscientific and without any factual basis, the Deniers are attempting to appropriate the skeptics' own language and methods. But it fails, and it turns out to be based on the old uninformed anti-Semitism and paranoia that the Jews control too much.

You can make the point that the Holocaust has become an industry without denying that it happened. Is that what you want to discuss? Or do you think that the Holocaust never happened or was no real big deal?

Have you read Shermer's book? He took apart every argument that the Deniers use.
