Post The drug called religion- Xians&X-xian quest.

Religion is the opiate of the masses. -Karl Marx

Some of the best natural feelings of joy we have besides laughter are when we know we've got the right answer. We all remember thinking/knowing you've figured out the answer to that million-dollar game show question. That feeling causes many of us to get hysterical, jump up and down and shout "Ooo-Ooo-Ooo! I got it!" and similar theatrics. After the person on TV got it wrong we felt even better...

In many of the debates with theists I ultimately see the "I felt it" or "you just know when it touches you" or "it just makes you feel good" or similar argument. Is this the physical high that overcomes many during a religious practice when they believe they have it all figured out?

Are these the same nuerologic or emotional high? I've never felt like that with religion so I wonder.
