lol, Vinnie! I wholeheartedly agree about the shakiness of the sayings in GJohn. So we'll stop exegeting from GJohn when you manage to stop the raft of fundies in the US from tossing out John 3:16 at every possible opportunity.

Heck, I'd be happy if you just manage to convince Magus55 that GJohn isn't a literal eyewitness history. 'k?

Cheers,

-Kelly

Close. That's the right Paul, anyway. I don't think anyone knows the real history, but somehow "4:20" has become associated with demon weed. One story is that some state's criminal code has its marijuana laws in chapter 4, section 20. Or that 420 is some police department's code for a marijuana offense. Or maybe it has something to do with Earth Day. Or it could be some inside joke known only to a few people who aren't telling. Who knows? But Paul McCartney has a reputation as having been somewhat of a pothead, so some wag years ago came up with "Paul 4:20" as a response to John (another Beatle; and Paul's a pothead; get it? ha ha) 3:16.

Sorry. I now return you to your serious discussion.

Yeah Diana, I'd like to see that myself. It appears that Jesus was in the supernatural form when Paul thought he met him on the road to Damascus. Maybe ole Paul sprouted wings and buzzed off after him.

Instead of continuing this charade, feel free to critique my informal reasons for the divinity of Jesus.
