Josh McDowell on The Resurrection of Jesus
I have addressed his arguments in his book The New Evidence That Demands a Verdict concerning the resurrection.Here.
Any critical comments would be appreciated. |

As an aside, I'd like to know: Does McDowell have some "new evidence" that demands a verdict, or is the new edition of the book simply a rehashing of the same old evidence? It probably explains in the foreword, but I'll never know.

Yeah, but Mcdowell's making money off the book, which I suspect is his only real intention, similar to tv evangelists.

The publisher thought New Evidence That Demands a Verdict was catchier than the more likelyNew Mistress That Demands a Condo. It's all about the money.

I don't know. I just figure that's the real reason any of those guys like him or Tim LaHaye, or Robertson, Graham, Falwell are doing that.
Easy work for big money. I'm sure they make people feel good, but tax-free money (for the evangelists anyway) has to be a big attraction. |
