Question Muslims.....

You cite that Jesus was not the son of God as it cannot be proven?

However, can it be proven that Mohammed spoke with the Angel Gabriel?

(for what it's worth, I'm an agnostic and not a Christian or a Muslim).

I'm not a Muslim but let me try to do the standard replies I think you would receive:

Muslims usually go together with Jews and other Unitarian believers in saying that God is not a man, so He cannot have a son. God is one, they say, and a Trinity is equivalent to believing in three gods.

"Proof" that Muhammad spoke with the Angel Gabriel is the style of the Qur'an, which is, they say, inimitable. They will challenge you to produce one chapter like the chapters of the Qur'an (the "Surah Like It" challenge, which is issued in the Qur'an itself), and if you cannot do so - and the Qur'an says you cannot do so - then this proves the Qur'an is of divine origin. A classic case of shifting of the burden of proof. They will also give examples of "scientific knowledge far ahead of its time" in the Qur'an as proof of its divine origin. See http://www.it-is-truth.org for details.
