BB: Moderation hits an all new low.
Yes, we thought that BaptistBoard couldn't sink any lower, but moderator C.S. Murphy has really proved us wrong.
Fundamentalist Creationism? A thread was started in the "No Rev. Joshuas" Forum to discuss if six-day, young earth creationism should be a doctrinal requirement for fundy status. The moderator apparently doesn't like discussion and edited all posts that interpreted the bible differently than he does. For instance take Deacon's original Statement: Quote:

Heh, they do tend to prefer the Goebbels school of moderation in Xian sites.
Why do you waste your time on them, Rufus? You should know by now that their creationist beliefs are not due to a mistaken interpretation of data, so why bother trying to rub their noses in the facts as if they will suddenly shout "eureka!" and abandon their silliness? Biff the unclean already masterfully explained the proper reaction to creationists... Quote:

Altough we all got banned from BaptistBoard, it is still fun to read it and watch the nuts.

Bullshit, you get red in the face when they say something not only stupid, but based on interpretations of data that are so wrong that you wish you could reach through your monitor and shake the moron like a rag doll.

You know, I was thinking the other day that online forums are a veritable goldmine for sociologists and psychologists and all the other various 'logists' interested in studying human behavior. I mean, at what other time in human history has conditions been riper than the recent growth of the Internet phenomena?
I wonder what they would study at Baptist Board... |

Whoa...there are posts gutted all over that first page. This idea sure has them terrified.
And this "Helen" nutcase -- she's the wife of Barry Setterfield? What a hotbed of lunacy. |

Yeap, they got married a year or two ago. She is his "science" editor and thinks that qualifies her as a "scientist." It is amazing how many BaptistBoard posters eat her statements up and think she is a genius.
What is rather funny is that the Setterfields' email is "bhs4light." ~~RvFvS~~~ |
