Why do you think that?

If you definitely feel this way, think about waiting a period of time (whatever you feel comfortable) before implementing this plan. Single parenting is a tough job which radically changes one's life.
noli,
You're right. I think that maybe my plans can only change for better... At this moment, I feel very optimistic.

Brighid.- Thank you for your nice comments and suggestions. This is a promise. I'll let you all know what finally happened.

dangin.- I wish I could find the same response from my candidate. No problems, no recriminations, just love and understanding.

Pyrrho.- I think you are the same poster from the JREF forum. Am I wrong?. I bet you'll never know who I am...

Thank you all for your comments and for making me reconsider my position regarding the legal implications that might cause headaches in the future.

I think it is bed time for this thread.

Anna

Anna, I wish you more luck with this enterprise than you deserve.

You're gonna need it.

You really do need them.

That way I could be a happy-go-lucky sperm donor like you, huh?

You are quite mistaken, as I have never posted anything at the James Randi Educational Foundation (I presume that is what you mean by "JREF", though I had to do a search of the internet to know what you might mean by "JREF"). (Incidentally, I have found that I can waste more than enough time here without posting elsewhere, and I think I prefer the category divisions here, though this is judging from a quick look there only today.)

However, you now make me curious: Who did you think I was? Is there some sensible person there who agrees with me about children, and how the world is unfit for them?

Well, I doubt anyone would want your product, but sure, why not?

If it reflects badly on me if no one wants MY product, what does the fact that YOU don't want YOURS say about you?

Cool Very thoughtful...

It sounds as though you've given the whole enterprise a good deal of thought. I echo the opinions of another that all parents, married or no, should engage in the same exercise prior to getting pregnant. The world would definitely be a better place if they would...

As far as morality goes, I'm of the opinion that bringing a child into the world without the wherewithal to care for it is immoral. That goes for all parents, single or married. If you've taken steps to ensure that you'll be able to cover your child's needs and have the necessary time to nurture and support it, then you should be fine.

And in honor of your character, I wish you ֈ!

Regards,

Bill Snedden

Edit: Damn! Can't get the Cyrillic to display correctly! Well, good luck then!

Hmm, yguy your parents sure did a good job of raising you.

My (single) mother taught me about a little something called "class".
