uh, actually, IIRC, Cojanas is correct on this one;
an hallucination medically is simply a false perception

while it is a delusion if you actually believe it.

Therefore it is quite possible to have a hallucination and to be aware it is one.

Member Cojana... If there were another person in the room watching you during the few seconds you were split from your body, what would they have seen? Would they have seen two separate bodies of member Cojana? Or would they just see a single member Cojana stoned beyond belief with his eyes bugging out and his jaw dropping in disbelief? If you say they would only see one member Cojana, then that indicates it was all in your head... a hallucination. If you say they would have seen two member Cojanas, then I would say, "Congratulations! Member Cojana! You are the first known example in the history of the universe where the laws of science have been violated". That would be quite a distinction, and I would say that yes, indeed, Member Cojana you are VERY, VERY special! I would also give you one of these: :notworthy

Cool non-analytical responce, buddy..

Member Mcbeave, I am not trying to make my hallucination any more then what it are, what your suggesting are beyond the realm of possibility, its as you say,someone else would just see me stricken with awe, I wasn't dinged out as you suggest, I was coherent,and conciously aware of my illusion, you understand how magnificent my hallucination were, you don't know how magnificent you are until you see yourself by yourself, awesome,just awesome,...

Sensations experienced while under the influence of drugs are not to be trusted. The brain is a contraption of chemicals, and messing with said chemicals messes with your thoughts and emotions on a very deep level. I mean, think about it.

While under the influence of drugs you felt you were in two bodies at once. What do drugs affect? Your brain. What thought it was in 2 bodies at once? Your brain. No matter how powerful the sensations were, it's still circular reasoning - "My mind was in 2 bodies at once. I know this because my mind said so...." It was a TOTALLY subjective experience with no intrinsic meaning for you or anyone else.

I know you can't even get close to concieve the phenomena of inhibiting two seperate bodies simulteniuosly, plurally,but singulerly in control with one and the same mind, I have tried to detail my experience in different verbs, but my articulation skills are amiss, its like you were in front of your bathromm mirror,brushing your teeth, and your Image was combing his hair, and you were inside both of you, checking yourself out, wouldn't that be a dandy??
The brain is a strange thing; messing with it produces things very hard to predict. That doesn't make it supernatural.

You're right, it is possible. However, the #2 meaning of hallucination in the definition of hallucination posted above by Majestyk is delusion. That's the definition I was assuming. I may be biased in my usage of the word from working in the mental health field -- very few of the hallucinations our residents have are clearly understood by them to be false, i.e. they are delusions.

Cool you don'ttell me what the mind can do,

member Corona688, I may know more then you as to the operational status of the mind, I know the mind has an executive much like the computer, access to the executive's computer gives carta blanche to user, I am not savvy on the computers executive,but I know its there, maybe you are,..anyhoo, the minds executive are inaccesseble normally, but it can be accessed, most of the time its inadvertantly,and by accident,ie,a 95 pound old lady, picking up a ton of vehicle off her grand son, documented fact, I accessed my minds executive when I was 8 years old, I had a head ache, did'nt like it, and I thought, I'm never going to have one of those again', that was 58 years ago, no headache since then, so don't tell me what the mind can do, I'm a living project of the mind, I have other mental occurrences, I want to get approval from members as to my integrity are succinct, I'm afraid of not being believed, its a bitch :banghead:

I am not asking this to be sarcastic. I ask this with sincere interest. Is your primary language English? If so, do you suffer from some form of physical or mental condition that impedes your ability to communicate via a keyboard?

I hope your not talking about that "We only use 10% of our brain" garbage. I still can't believe people actually buy that.

What do you mean "mind"? Do you mean the brain? Your personality?

Also, what do you mean "an executive"? An .exe file like my PC uses?

Do you have any idea at all how the brain works?
