cases of speciation
Can anyone give me links to lists of observed cases of speciation besides <a href="http://www.talkorigins.org/faqs/faq-speciation.html" target="_blank">this one</a>?
I was debating a friend of mine about evolution, and he's pretty sharp, so i need as much info as i can get. |

banditoloco, you'd do well to get him/her (assuming your friend is a creationist!) to state what a 'kind' is at the outset (good luck!). There's no point in discussing mere speciation if it's "still the same kind".

Re: kinds.
Is there a shred of plausibility that a population composed of one male and one female can have "built in variation" ? How many alleles can there be in that small of a gene pool? I would think all future variation within this "kind" concept would have to come from mutation. |

Thanks everyone, that should be enough, but if you come up with anymore resources, please add them.
