Default Let's Stop Arguing About God's Power

There is no point arguing that god can't do such-and-such a thing, therefore doesn't exist. He can do anything we want him to do, and everything we say he can. After all, we invented him. We can make him anyhow we like, and you can't stop us.

The bible says god is made in your own image and I can't argue with that. I feel like master of the universe myself when nurse Patterson gives me the blue capsules after fingerpainting.

If they are going to force that god into schools and government, I think it is imperative that we show it cannot exist.

I think you can argue that you should have a chioce about which school you attend or what from of government you live under, not whether they should exist or not. Afterall, isn't no government at all just another form of fascist dictatorship in the same way that evolutionary theory is a religion?

Um no, the Bible says we are made in God's image. We never invented God, sorry to burst your bubble.

And man wrote the bible, thus inventing god in the process. Sorry to burst your bubble.

Magus (and ScumDog), Boro Nut's post is, well, obviously intended as bitingly clever humor, made more humorous in this case because of the thread of truth that runs through it. Sorry to burst your bubble.

ScumDog, I'll excuse you because you haven't been around long enough to experience Boro Nut's humor.

Question Prime numbers and the meaning of life

Abacus, the obvious choice for advanced mathematics

Riddle me this:

And man wrote the bible, thus inventing god in the process. Sorry to burst your bubble.
A man? A man? Amen to that. 66/40 over multiple millenia, disparate culture and career. I like alliteration, it leaves long-lasting lithography. Unfortunately, such a literary accomplishment occurs all the time, everyone who is in the know knows that, so your Book is old hat. I'm crypty the cryptic cypher. Sorry, didn't sleep soundly la soirée passée

Beware the Ghost of JP Sartre.

au revoir,
BGiC

BTW, if God really wrote the Book, he'd have done it Himself, with his own hands; he'd have done it on Gold Plates and would've handed it to you directly, since blind faith is for fools.

I believe he only said "Man" (as in mankind), not "A Man" :P

Default Question

Has anyone ever proven the non-existence of God?
Can anyone?
Now I agree that just because you cannot prove that something does not exist it does not follow the thing in question exist. However it is very arrogant for anyone to claim he can disprove the existence of God unless he can substantiate such claim and I don't think anyone has ever been able to do that in a convincing way.
What do you think?
