Don't pretend to be incredulous. You know as well as I do that we already sterilise creation on a small scale to preserve food.

Not really. When it comes to word-salad chefs, Amos is one of the greats. I'd love to find out what he's on about, but any 'explanations' are likely to be just as impenetrable!
