Exclamation God of Christianity may condone seperation of church and state

This is my response to article; "What is the legal and moral role of the Bible and Christianity in the U.S.A.? Should God be separated from American government?" from christiananswers.net and note that I am a Christian Protestant when typing these responses.

"As Christians, we realize that the real problems of the world can only be solved with reference to Biblical Christian principles."

Jhn 17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

Jhn 17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.

It states that God is solely not intrested in the problems of the world. This verse backs up the truth;

Jhn 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be one, as we [are].

This verse states that the welfare of God is only concerning with Christians, and not of the world. Why should God be bothered about the world when He states Satan is clearly the prince of this world? The purpose of preaching the gospel is for non-believers to be enlightened by the Word of God, then be freed from the influence of the world then only he/she is guaranteed salvation. The world may hear God's gospel, but it is NO WAY can it obtain salvation in heaven. The preaching of the gospel is for all human beings, who are God's children fallen from His grace currently inhabiting in this world, not for the world itself.

How can the world be saved when God condemned it?

Jhn 12:31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

Quote:

If this is true, then the Christian is violating the founding principles of our country when he or she calls for Christianity to be voiced in the public square. But is it true?

Absolutely not. The First Amendment does not include the phrase "separation of church and state." It reads:

"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
This refutation doesn't make any sense. Of course, Christianity deserves it's right to be heard in public square, but it condones merging of church and state?! Ridiculous!

Quote:
The founding fathers did not include the First Amendment in the Constitution to disallow Christianity from influencing state-established institutions; on the contrary, America's founding fathers expected our nation to be (on the whole) Christian, and our government to reflect that bias.
That particular quote contradicts another statement made commenting the First Amendment;

Quote:
Robert L. Cord accurately describes the true intention of the religion clause in the First Amendment:

"[R]egarding religion, the First Amendment was intended to accomplish three purposes. First, it was intended to prevent the establishment of a national church or religion, or the giving of any religious sect or denomination a preferred status. Second, it was designed to safeguard the right of freedom of conscience in religious beliefs against invasion solely by the national Government. Third, it was so constructed in order to allow the States, unimpeded, to deal with religious establishments and aid to religious institutions as they saw fit."
Quote:
Author Tim LaHaye says that...

"This Christian consensus is easily verified by the fact that prior to 1789 (the year that eleven of the thirteen states ratified the Constitution), many of the states still had constitutional requirements that a man must be a Christian in order to hold public office."
The Christian consensus on the part that a man MUST be a Christian to hold public office have violated the rule of First Amendment by giving a religious sect, preffered status.

I'll post in my second post meanwhile...

This isn't the appropriate forum for Church/State issues. I'm sending it there now.
