Post I'm new here..

Hello everyone. Just registered and thought I would say hello.

I'm used to these debates from the BBC boards, and a couple of you may know me from there, but as I'm new here you might see a slow start as I get used to your style of debate.

Got to go out now,

Cheers

Liam

'ello Yvonne..

I saw your message on the Ren board, and I'd heard of this place before from Oolon, so just having a quick look at it yesterday I thought.. "lets have a go here for a bit"

I'll have a look through today's posts and see if I can't get a couple of posts in before I go out.

Cheers

Cheers for that pz, I'll have a look when I have a bit more time.. well that's 4 posts now and not a mention of the subject of this board.. better change that then

And thankyou for having me (is there any rules on the amount of smileys you can use, as I usually put about half a dozen in each post at the beeb??) <img src="graemlins/notworthy.gif" border="0" alt="[Not Worthy]" /> <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" /> etc.

Cheers

There are no rules on that, other than those of good taste. Personally, I despise smileys, never use them myself, and tend to hunt down and dispatch by slow torture anyone who uses them.

(I would hope I wouldn't need to use a crude graphical symbol in order for people to detect the wee bit of hyperbole in my last comment.)

Actually, another poster (HelenM, aka HelenSL) ran into this problem as she liked to use smileys.

IIRC, or unless they have changed the limit, it is EIGHT. Your above post hit this number exactly!
