For the best proof of evolution, head on over to your local college/university campus. If you look around a bit, you'll find a great big building full of books. It's called a "library". Go on in and knock yourself out.

A really good proof of evolution can be found right next door in your biology lab. You can observe bacteria evolving resistance to an antibiotic.

If bacteria aren't your thing, then go to a local cotton farmer and talk about how boll weevils have evolved resistance to pretty much anything we can throw at them.

I seriously recommend The Beak of the Finch by Jonathan Weiner

HW

Edit: I love this quote from one of the reviewers on Amazon:
Quote:
The impression was that it was to be a novel which tells a story, while in reality it was full of boring information about the finch.

Does that include anvils?

Do you want evidence for the ability of the processes of random mutation and natural selection to produce increasingly complicated entities, or is it evidence that modern biodiversity descended from a common ancestor that you want?

Would you like our best proof for gravity while we're at it?
