Re: the Discovery Show on Eden
ED-IN is a Sumerian word meaning ’pastoral land’ most of Genesis is thought to be borrowed from early Mesopotamian mythology, by using the descriptions found in Genesis and a very old Sumerian poem “Enmakkar and the Gods of Erratta” they found an area in northern Iran that fit the bill, on a plateau with 4 rivers flowing outward, surrounded by mountains. There is a fairly large town there, seems like they weren’t tossed out after all. |

You just knew the tourists would come and ruin it . . . what with their trash, their loud voices, and their heavy ordinance. . . .

“Any cherubs with flaming swords?”
Probably, cherubim and seraphim are most likely derived from the ancient Hebrew words for thunder and lightning. |

Did the flood drown the angels who were supposed to be protecting Eden?
Poor angels. Well, no doubt they went to heaven shortly afterwards. |

There wore their special flood-repellant Wellingtons, "don't you know."
