Thanks for posting that, Helen. That thread had me cracking up in fits of laughter. I got images of the Bible police going around a "clothing optional" beach measuring the widths of bikini bottoms. Never mind all of the naked people.

I wonder if you blurted out "butts" or "boobies" if their heads would explode. (Now I know the real reason that fundamentalists oppose sex education. LOL)

Im confused about the thong thread on BB. Adam and eve were originally naked in the garden of eden, BUT they were without sin. Now you cant even be close to naked, otherwise its a sin. I thought being ashamed of your body was a side affect of the fruit and therefore it would make sense to me that in order to be more close to their God, they shouldn't be ashamed of their bodies.

I guess all the other books overrule Genesis tho, although I don't know how.

The excuse I heard from the man one time was that if you look at a woman in pants you think of a man. Beats me... I guess she put up with it because she was a real dingaling. (He was 18 and had a full violin scholarship to Curtis -- then they had a shotgun wedding and he didn't go to music conservatory -- he worked for the state highway department as a lab technician.)
