Post jcsm misquote - amusing

the Administrator at JCSM forums recently had a debate with one Dan Barker, and was saying how some "hardcore athiests" congradulated him and said he'd won.

Quote:
Hmmm. Interesting feedback from the "independent", "non-evangelical" atheists on this forum. Maybe it takes an avid, hardcore atheist with a "ministry" to tell that I won the debate.

Ashley Pierren and Pastor Tammy Lynn both admit that Mr. Barker didn't debate or know the issues as well as I did.

Ashley Pierren is the co-host of the "Atheist Experience" call-in show which airs on television. Link: http://www.atheist-community.org/tvshow.htm

Pastor Tammy Lynn is the webmaster and resident atheist at Full Gospel Ranch and Rev. Bookburn's site.

Since two, very devoted, professional atheists have given me the thumbs up, I don't think anything more needs to be said. I do appreciate the feedback from the aspiring, hardcore atheists, though. *Smile*

Ermm, Jason... a word please, dear....

WTF?!?!?!?!

Jason, the only comment I made to you was that I thought Dan could have done better with evolution in that debate. I did not say you "won" the debate. In fact, your Kent Hovind "fantasy tooth fairy science" is so lame and so easily refutable by anyone who has passed junior high science courses, that I can understand why Dan may have not tried as hard.

That's what I think.

Gawd Bless,

Pastor Tammy

Going from this, I also think I've figured out what the main thing that seperates a secular board from a religious one.

the integrity of the admins (as a general rule. and the ads, messages, but for overall feel)

I agree with the integrity of the admins point. The integrity of the whole evoluionary position is also one damn good reason why I am no longer a creationist.

Personally, I would love, so very much, to be able to get into the heads of people like Jason on that forum.

Would love so much to see how people like him's minds work.

Be utterly fascinating.

I still haven't figured out whether they're simply that good at self-delusion, or whether they're in it for the money, etc.

honestly no idea.

Excellent article, but I think it should be considered that many (if not all) creationists are also factoring in (inapproprately) their hope for fantasy fulfillment. You know, all the sweet stuff like the destruction of all Jews, Muslims, and atheists. An end-time with real miracles and a communicative deity like the one Tim Lahaye writes about.

"....the main thing that seperates a secular board from a religious one...the integrity of the admins"

Last night I received a notification from Jason Gastrich at the JCSM that I was on a 48 hour suspension from that board. Tonight I received the following from him:

***I've decided to put one stipulation on your return to the forum. In order to return and continuing posting, you'll need to send me a public apology (that I will post) for harrassing me and personally attacking me. If you understand your offense, then this shouldn't be a problem. If you don't understand your offense, then it will be best that you don't return.***
