Go ask your old math professor.

Oh, and you can also mention that the factorial of 1 is not one, its zero. You've never taken upper level math have you?

I could prove that God doesn't exist, but it's not worth the time and effort because nobody would believe me.

If he thinks that the factorial function is higher level mathematics, he hasn't reached the 8th grade yet. Just don't mention Γ(x) or his head might explode.

Peace out.

I hate it when they try to use math and logic. It's so transparent. They only do it in order to seem scientific to the uneducated masses that follow them, and they get the same effect whether or not they make sense.

Some of the latest posts from a few threads on christianforums.com board deal with the excessive level of dishonesty from the creationists.

Well, I suppose Louis is actually correct in a fashion (surprisingly so). 1 + 1 does not actually equal "2" in base 2.

Gotta admit, with 4 years of higher math under my belt though, that's the only situation that I can think of that it doesn't.

Maybe in some weird topologists nightmare 1+1 != 2 - but topologists are weird anyway.

Cheers,

With the way he worded it, he may of been speaking of logical rules...

1 AND 1 = 1 (or 1 & 1 == 1 for us computer programmers)

Either way, his argument doesn't get him far. (I gotta tell you though I nearly lept through the monitor and gave him a severve bitch slapping for pretending to be a mathematician.)

I just love that part where he tells us to call up or old math prof and while we're at it mention that one factorial equals zero! What a bonehead!

1! equals 0? Since when?

Must be the "new math"!

So in other words

+ = <img src="graemlins/banghead.gif" border="0" alt="[Bang Head]" />

And also keep in mind that two is not equal to three. Not even for very large values of two.

But remember, 0! does equal 1
