Oh Buckster,
How old are you that you need to act in this manner? Last tactical measures is now to attack "me" though I have been kind to you, or were you showing a bit more "bravery" because you knew I was gone? Just peeking in really didn't want to respond but I don't see why you get upset because I don't agree with you? I'm not at all agry or dissapointed you don't agree with me I'm still learning admitedly be patient with me until I reach your blissful heights I suppose with the differences of age you can rightly suppose your much wiser (I'll give you that) but I must ask you... Is this how you often deal with people who are not as "wise" as yourself though they try and be courteous? You started the conversation, I knew it was doomed from the begining. How did you learn to argue with a Christian? Dan Barker? Act like your interested, ask certain questions if you find your not attaining your goal make a loop to hang them with it... Pretty ingenious and well thought out. I think He mentions when the christian starts to buckle they start attacking the "person" thus showing their true colors... Something like that. How old are you Buck? (can I call you that, since were getting personal/cozy?) For someone who does not believe in God or the bible at all it seems to distress you some that I can take it another way. I GAVE you already the verse about the "infants". Look way back. But if there is NO GOD, and the bible is junk why do you care at all. Thats the diffence, you say there is no God, I say I believe there is. You give me a verse and I tell you how I see it... You have a problem with that. YOU SEEM to have the problem with my own "free thought". Because my belief in God unlike most christians is not paralyzed by fear or commandments or indoctrination because I blow by alot of stuff knowing Christ was BLIND. But lets not go into that one because it would be as nonsensical as the others. But it is a good one to nail someone with... (see I'll help your sorry ass out). Good trap for a christian (you don't need to know the answer because its not worth the paper its printed on right?) You remember the verse in Isaiah 42:19 Who [is] blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger [that] I sent? who [is] blind as [he that is] perfect, and blind as the LORD'S servant? Isaiah 42:20 Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not. Christ is thought of as "all seeing" (doing what He sees His Father doing) perfect hearing (and speaking those things He's heard) In many of sermons He is supposely seen as the "stone with seven eyes on it" (something like that I'm not learned enough to know for sure) But they interpret this to mean He has perfect sight when their own scriptures contradict that very coonclusion. So in short... This perfect Servent sent by God is the one opening the eyes of the blind but not truly seeing, opening ears but not hearing. Casting out "Satan" who is seen to be causing the very things God creates. For example Ex.41:11 And the LORD said unto him, Who hath made man's mouth? or who maketh the dumb, or deaf, or the seeing, or the blind? have not I the LORD? In the gospels these things are considered "of Satan" or "devils" You can say... So which is it??? You WIN because they don't know how to see this or explain it away. Kind of a "no brainer" for your next battle. But this time you'll have them foaming at the mouth instead of...well, enough said. Still freinds? (happy hunting) Though I am a "loon" I could lend a hand in helping you prove them wrong releasing the world from this dreaded religion that even I cannot tolerate. Love... You got that right! A lot of your discussion has been entirely relevant to this forum, but would you mind keeping any feud going on between you to yourselves? It's really not appropriate here. Thanks, Leighton |

Muad'Dib,
You are right muad'dib once again I appologize for getting a bit carried away. I was just "identifying" a process of inquistion I found delightful myself. Someone told me this was not rants and raves etc. telling me to head "north" for better conversations without the "teeth" and "foam". Can you suggest a place like this? If I can't find a christian one I thought for sure it had to be here and I really would appreciate a reccommendation from you if you could help? Sincerest appologies (once again) Kim |

Kim,
Most people here do seem to keep the rules about civility, or get warned and then eventually banned if they persist - that's my experience... I think you're right that the 'tone' and 'content' of these forums is generally watched more closely and moderated more strictly than the 'miscellaneous' ones - I think you're in the right place for the more serious discussions - at least I hope so. The best thing you can do is not be drawn into an escalation of personal attack should anyone ever initiate that against you...that's my opinion anyway. love Helen |

Looking over the thread again, the following comments are entirely inappropriate for this forum:

I appreciate your compliance. Let me also apologize to Kim for making it seem in my earlier post as though she were an equal party in this; I hadn't read the thread closely enough. I will do my best to see that I don't make that sort of mistake again. -Leighton [ February 28, 2002: Message edited by: Muad'Dib ]</p> |

No appologies nessesary Muab' dib I don't know how anyone can possible moderate a board as vast as this especially with the many words expressed I'm as guilty as anyone to both pull in and be pulled into a discusion, I think thats why my post was all too breif in the begining... I knew I was asking for it (stupid me getting what was coming, can't complain) I suppose if being seen as "not" responding means someone else feels they have "won" the argument but no one wins anything if it gets to a raging boil. I'll try and learn my lesson though I appreciate that your here brining these things to our attention, when you step back and look at it all you really feel quite ridiculous about the whole thing. I thought the moderater's might be a bit "partial" on this board and you have proven otherwise, I stand corrected in thought Thank you Kim |

I can't just "drive by" How do you keep your composure? Thanks for the advice, good stuff I'll "get it" one day Kim |

I'm sorry I got carried away. I'll do a better job of hanging on to my hat from now on, and keeping my tone civil. |
