What if we have a corporate sponsor for the race, and someone else can finish it for me?

Ew. I hope I resolve it, then. Sounds like it would put quite a strain on my small, sensitive balls.

It would unless you burn daily scriptures for take-off and soar until you crash each night.

Well I have and the seventh day is the creation of the plan of salvation before the fall occured. The seventh day is when we come full circle in life and that is why it is part of Gen.2 where creation finds existence in real life.

Quite ironic, Amos (coming from you!)

You are also confused in that only the essence of existence was created in Gen.1 because nothing had been formed as of yet. This does not happen until Gen.2 and not God but Lord God does the actual forming of that which God created in Gen.1.[/QB]
This is an obvious attempt at trying to get around the inconsistencies between the two versions of Creation as recorded in Gen 1 and Gen 2. But it doesn't matter. The inconsistencies are still there whether Gen. 1 was a thinking process or not. The order of Creation in both accounts contradict each other. Nowhere does it say that God "thought" Gen.1. It clearly says that God "created" heaven and earth and recorded the steps of their formation in Chapter 1. God performs ACTIONS in Chapter 1. He just did it (so it says). The differences of "God" and "Lord God" are further implications that Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 were written by 2 different authors, not Moses as the church would have us believe. This reminds me of the nonsense interpretation of Christ's ego or id or super-id or whatever was crucified, not the actual man. Hogwash! How many slices of pie will you divide God into (blasphemously)?

In other words, God was just 'thinking' about this creation thing and did not get tired or worried over it and therefore did not need any physical rest.[/QB]
Thinking requires rest just as much as physical exersion. The bible says he rested. So he rested. Your theories of the bible are so far-fetched and nonsensical that any idiotic theory one can make up sounds just as valid. I could easily say that Gen. 1 did not take place but was perhaps, say, a previous life or something. Nonsense.

Amos, care to back this up with scripture from Genesis, or is this how you explain it?

Or wait... are we just supposed to take this as a safe assumption and read it with vague interpretation?

And further more, why did this omnipotent, omniscient highest power even have to spend an entire day "planning" this so-called "salvation" when he knew people in the future would reject it anyhow? Sounds like bad planning from a perfect, all powerful being, right?

FREE WILL!

Can it.

Surely Yahweh must have known that millions and millions of people would be born and raised in non-Christian nations, right? And he would have known that Christianity would be illegal in some of those countries (e.g. Saudi Arabia). Yet according to the Bible these people will fry in hell.

It makes no sense! Either Yahweh is insane or non-existant. I think it's rather obvious that "he" is non-existant.

Question

Christianity: 'Love Him or He cause you to suffer for eternity.' Even if you never heard of Him.

Only protestants burn and there only those that enter the race and can't complete it.

Do you get tired thinking? I do it for free and for fun and would have more difficulty trying not to think.
