What listening to Quacks can do to your army
I am listening to NPR while doing a bit of HTML coding...
Napoleon listened to some quack who convinced him that the reason why the British did so well was what they eat. So the meals of French troops was changed and Napoleon delayed his attack so his troops would have time to digest their wonder food. This gave his enemies time to move in troops. And the expression "he met his Waterloo" was born and his army got blown apart he spent the rest of his life jailed by the British. (As they say in Fark: France Surrenders.) |

I'm afraid we might find out soon, although in this case the quacks are on the political side. We seem to be committed to a dream that killing a bunch of Muslims will turn the Middle East into a Democratic, Jebus-loving, consumer-oriented, pro-American utopia.
