Richard Carrier's Taoism
Richard Carrier has a new testimonial linked here concerning his conversion to Taoism and eventually to atheism.
Very fascinating. The only thing, his debating style seems a bit pugnacious for a Taoist. (It's one of the things I admire about him.) |

For everyone's info===
there was a glitch in the system this morning. Many posts and some threads were lost. I am sorry it happened here on my board as well. If you posted and your post/thead is lost it was not due to moderator interference. Please post again, as the posts are unretrievable and are lost forever in post hell... or state of unenlightenment... jess (ASIMC) |

Daoism can be a pugnacious outlook. Anybody who has read the debates between Daoists and Confucianists over the centuries in China knows that they can be brutally witty and sometimes downright nasty in their attacks.
In any case, Carrier's pugnacious personality is no reflection on Daoism. Michael |
