Excuse me? You don't believe in a literal hell? Thats not what the bible says and we know you read it right? Why pick and choose? What then happens to us atheists when we die, do we go into the blackness?

Could it be your believing in something that doesn't exist just because you need it? You need it to exist because your life would be meaningless without it and I find that sad.

And there is 7thangel, a person who believes that his own short comings and shortsightedness, should be suffered by everybody else.
Why are these people visiting a forum for infidels is beyond me. Do they expect to do some missionary work here, or are they doubting there incoherent beliefs??

Queens of Swords,

I realized that you have an excellent way of maneuvering debates. I referred to Evil as the "tool" of God in making our state better. And responding unto me childishly on this matter, I feel stupid to continue my arguments with you.

Sorry, but hope to talk to you when you grow up.

The bible said "the letter killeth and the spirit giveth life." This simple words answers your first and second question. I don't pick and chose. When you take all words of the Bible literally, you will surely stumble.

When an unbeliever dies, he ceases to exist. No more thoughts and feelings. And his flesh will return to dust

There are evidences of God. And it is more sad if we keep struggling without end.

I apologize, wade. My last response to QoS is a little bit off. But I sincerely mean that she shouldn't respond to me the way she did. Please bear with me.

I must correct you even here. Like the Immortals, there can be only one!

I realized that you have an excellent way of maneuvering debates.

Why, thank you. I recognize what humility it must have taken for you to confess yourself unable to defend your position.

I referred to Evil as the "tool" of God in making our state better.

Actually, no, you said, "But to say that God promotes this evil things instead of being a tool for us to be in better state of being is". Now, perhaps it's your (shaky) grasp of English, but the word "tool" could apply equally to "god" or to "evil". Perhaps next time, you could try to express yourself more clearly and specifically; you will agree, I am sure, that if your god exists, it does him no favors to have vague and ambiguous statements made about him?

And responding unto me childishly on this matter,

Remember, Jesus said, "unless you become as a little child, you shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven".

I feel stupid to continue my arguments with you.

That's probably due to my pointing out the complete lack of evidence and logic in your "arguments", not to mention your apparent worship of a torturer.

Sorry, but hope to talk to you when you grow up.

Would that be before or after your god applies a "high degree of suffering"? Are you looking forward to that?

Please describe how you feel I should respond to you, then. Give examples of what you consider would be appropriate comments.

If there's any place where I have insulted you, as opposed to commenting on your beliefs, I'll take it back.

QoS, how about you stop whining about a God you don't even believe in. Even if he were a torturer ( which hes not, you just love depicting him that way ), there isn't didly you can do about it. He created you, He made the rules. You abide by them, or get punished. If you don't like it, feel free to tell him so at Judgement and see how fast you fall to your knees in humility.

Magus, how about you produce some evidence in favor of this god's existence?

Even if he were a torturer ( which hes not, you just love depicting him that way ),

Just in case you haven't noticed, I'm not the one who claimed that this god would inflict a "high degree of suffering" on people in order to make them worship him.

there isn't didly you can do about it. He created you, He made the rules.

In other words, might makes right. Your god is looking more and more like a tyrannical despot.

You abide by them, or get punished.

And boy, does your god love punishing people. He must get as much of a kick out of it as his followers get out of imagining the terrible things that will happen to people who don't toe the line.

If you don't like it, feel free to tell him so at Judgement

If there ever is one, and if you happen to be right about this god. Frankly, both of those two possibilities approach zero, so I don't worry about it.

and see how fast you fall to your knees in humility.

You mean I'll have knees at Judgement?

Oh my word, Magus, I forgot, you didn't know! I was born without legs (and arms, for that matter)! Is your god going to give me knees at Judgement just so that I can fall to them? Wowie!
