That's fine, as long as he uses them to support his case and not as his case.

I have not noticed any cut and paste or "links" at all used in posts on this forum. I would assume that "links" and cut and paste are either discouraged or completely disallowed here -------

They're quite often used here. It's encouraged that one use them as I described above (in support of one's case and not as one's case). But they're not disallowed, within copyright limits.

That would be highly preferable. If he posts links or quotes and can't defend or explain his case in his own words, he probably won't get much respect.

Yeah I am imagining this guy's appearance here to be akin to throwing some raw meat into a pit of starving demon wolves Links can be a good way to support your argument, they can act as a bibliography, but you have to make the argument yourself, not let links make them for you. If you invite this guy here, I'd suggest you advise him that there are thousands of professional scientists here who have heard pretty much every silly creation science argument and soundly debunked them many times in the past. Furthermore, most people here have seen most of the ridiculous creation science and intelligent design web sites out there and thoroughly debunked them as well. It's possible he'll come here and trump everyone, but I doubt it If he's going to argue for creation science, he needs to be prepared to face off against many professional scientists from multiple fields.

Yes, most people here tend to think for themselves, hence the tendency to use original wording. It is also a sign of an active and creative mind when someone can express his ideas and beliefs in new and different terms.

IMHO, it seems that all are welcome to attend the discussion. I have, as you may be wanting to do, brought a Christian point of view to this forum. There are a couple of threads here you may want to visit by the way, as I have covered a lot of ground in the last couple of weeks. I have been doing the "research" that has been offered and all of it is quite compelling, scientifically.

I guarantee that you are in for a battle, but hey, it is interesting and fun, and so far the respect shown has been exemplary
