Hi charlie;

I'd like to look at that paper, but it requires a paid subscription. I'm not sure I know what you mean by "Darwinian fashion", but 'step-wise mutations' are just as easily internally directed and teleological as not. Could you please specify what you mean by "Darwinian fashion", with quotes from the article to back up your assertion that that is how stationary-phase mutations are made?

I personally have posted for him on several occasions citations and quotes from several articles showing that ‘stationary phase mutations’ (aka directed mutations, etc.) are not what they were originally thought to be. Of course, mturner is just ignoring me, because he says I am a ‘troll.’ What better defense than to label someone that has repeatedly shown your preferred ‘theory’ (mturner is a fan of his own ‘EAM’, an idea that rests in part on ‘stationary phase mutations’ being ‘directed&#8217 to be baseless a ‘troll’ such that you can just ignore what they present?

I’m a troll? Old mturner should look in a damn mirror.

One attribute of mturners that I have found very irritating it that he references and even
recommends book and articles that he has not read, or has not understood.

Not long ago a bought and read a book on the Nazi--American-Eugenics connection on
his recommendation. After reading it I suggested that he and I discuss it. Much to my
disappointment, Mtruner had neither read the book, nor intended to read the book.

Shessh.

Thumbs down

Hmm... I wonder who, mturner or me, gets banned first at ARN, after all of the moderators either return from vacation or find the guts to do some moderating for once.

You, I have little doubt, for Turner, like certain others before him, is anti-Darwin, and that more than makes up for his incoherence and aggressive rudeness.

I would also like to see Turner's 'evidence' for 'intelligence' at the cellular level. Well, I did read one of the spam-like links he provided, along with the predictable Bertvan chiming in like one of Pavlov's dogs. Of course, the way Turner 'defines' intelligence, he will always be able to find some. Perhaps even in himself, though that is a sretch.
