I didn't know they were twins. I thought they were "just" brother and sister.

Come on.. haven't you seen Return of the Jedi?

Darth Vader: Your thoughts betray you. Your feelings for them are strong. Especially for... sister! So. You have a twin sister. Your feelings have now betrayed her too. Obi-Wan was wise to hide her from me. Now his failure is complete. If you will not turn to the dark side, then perhaps she will.

Luke: Never!

---

Obi-wan Kenobi: The 'other' that he spoke of is your twin sister.

Luke: But I have no sister.

Obi-wan Kenobi: To protect you both from the Emperor, you were hidden from your father when you were born. The Emperor knew, as I did, that if Anakin were to have any offspring, they would be a threat to him. That is the reason why your sister remains safely anonymous.

Luke: Leia! Leia is my sister.

I've still got this vague hope that Episode III will do something impressive. Some plot twist we CAN'T see coming thirty miles away... Doesn't really matter what it is. If the movie has a SINGLE *GASP!* moment on par with Empire, it'll be better than TPM and ATOC by default. Won't take much.

(Wouldn't it be amusing to let Obi Wan fall to the dark side, and take on the role of Vader? Anakin swaps out and plays Obi Wan's role in response, traveling to Tatoonine to be close to Luke. Stupid, but admit it - That would be better than what Lucas has no doubt managed to shit out as a script.)

So who's the worst actor, Christensen in II or Hamill in IV?

"But I was going into Toshi station to pick up some power converters!"

Given the choice, Hamill is far superior. At least Luke's whinging about going with his friends makes sense and fits with who and where the character is. The reason I know Anakin is getting darker is because I know the story line, not because Hayden is acting the part.

That said, I will most certainly be going to see Episode III: Fall of the Jedi (perfect title, Lucas is a fool if it's anything else). But it will be more out of a sense of duty than because I'm positive it'll be a great movie. I both need and want the closure to the series.

Finally, Star Wars (IV: A New Hope) is still a fantastic story. It's not necessarily the big things, but the little things that keep the story exciting to me. Still, The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of them all.

I think Christensen is a better actor, but since he wasn't directed worth shit, his performance was worse.

Lucas needs to realize that if you're going to place two actors in front of blue screens the director needs to provide better motivation for their acting since they have no environment or atmosphere to play off of.

I liked Episode 2 a lot more than Episode 1. Episode 1 mostly had stuff like dumb aliens with Asian accents, dumb gungan stuff like when the gungans fight against the trade federation robots, etc. I liked the surprises in Episode 2 - like the weird creators of the clones, the big talking monster that has a conversation with Obi Wan(?), the action in the area with the monsters, then the Jedi knights, then the clone troopers... I thought the locations for the romance (like the fireplace, meadow, etc) were too much of a cliche and the action scenes in the factory with the droids (and the Queen?) were pretty boring. I think it was a bad idea for a New Zealander to be the clone trooper source. I thought a lot of the visuals in Episode 2 were just cooler - compared to the retarded Gungan and Naboo stuff in Episode 2.
I think Episode 3 would be at least as good as Episode 3... the clone trooper armour would turn into the classic styles... the jedi's would get killed off... the Emperor's appearance would change, etc.
I'm definitely going to see Episode 3 at the cinema... at the cinema it is a much higher resolution than you get on TV, and I sit in the front row so that it fills my field of view... and if it is 16:9 on the DVD some of the cinema's picture would be cut off since cinema is wider than that.

Are you talking about the scene that took place in the fifties diner?!? OMG, I couldn't freakin' believe Lucas put a fifties diner into the movie!!

Who can tell me that a CGI created fifties diner looked better than the Cantina from Ep 4? He's got all this technology now, but manages to make the effects look worse than he did almost 30 years ago. Sigh.

Of course, I had already lost all respect for the man the instant he stole a line from Saturday Night Live.
