Talking Roland Hirsch, creationist imbecile....

Hirsch, formerly a respected chemist, has taken to showing his ignorance of not only evolutionary biology, but of science in general...

I had never read that board until recently. There are some excellent and articulate posters there, and also several creationists. I notice that "brauer" is Matthew Brauer, who contributed a superb article to Robert Pennock's IDC anthology.

Reading some threads, I couldn't help but laugh out loud several times, for instance at the person that blamed Kenneth Miller for the IDers' bogus statements regarding the so-called "Santorum language." Who do these people think they're kidding! (Oops I forgot: they're kidding themselves.)

In the thread on the 52 "scientists" another guy linked to some crazy article by a doctor claiming, "There is no theory of evolution!" (A "radical concept that ... bares [sic] repeating.")

I loved that wave vs. particle = ID vs. evolution "affirmation" also. Nice try, creationists.

I was thinking about responding to Nelson Alonso's goofy (he doesn't even know what an ad hominem is) "review" of a review of Pennock's book, but what's the point.

Unfortunately (or fortunately, from a comedic perspective) it's practically impossible to take some of these people seriously.

Yes, it is amazing how this 'debate' seems to make mush out of the formerly functioning brains of some people.

You may also have noticed that 'mturner' is a stalwart there...

'Nuff said.
