If I were GOD......
.....and I created man, I would have:
Taken away the need for food and to take a crap. Taken away sickness and the need for medicine. Taken away the need for sleep and rest. Provide all that is needed so that no hardship is felt. Made my creations free of stress and difficultis so that the beauty of the rest of my creation could be seen and understood. Told my creations that they are wonderful and free from guilt. Never tell them they are unworthy or sinful. Never created evil or the devil. Future tasks: I would SHOW UP every so often to keep the faith in me alive and well. I would listen to prayer and my powers would be a subject in science. I would grant prayers with real results. Now isn't this a much better idea of a GOD? |

Don't forget providing lots and lots of fun things to do when they get bored of perfection .
Or would boredom also be unreal? -Perchance. |

If I were God, I'd just flick every non believer off the planet with my finger. That sounds like good ol' godlike fun.

My creation would be made out of strawberry jello!
Just kidding...Being god sounds like a crummy job actually. I don't like to make rules...I prefer breaking them. |

If I were God, I would have only created heaven, and humans wouldn't have physical bodies. This would eliminate almost all suffering without doing anything to that 'freewill' those Christian apologists cherish so much.
Guess I just destroyed the freewill defense and proved God doesn’t exist. Wait, they still have the Dr. Pangloss defense. Damn… |

If I were god, I would tell people to stop worshipping me. Better yet, I would tell them to just pretend I dont exist, as my existence is completely inconsequential to their daily lives. Then I would take a nap.

If I were God, I would therefore have the ability, intelligence, and foresight to make a perfect world in a perfect universe.
I would then make that perfect universe, wherein everything would be perfect all the time without degredation or imperfection of any kind and all sentient beings within that universe would always live a perfect life. This positive quality would never--throughout all eternity--ever diminish in any way, shape or form, thus all sentient beings would always and forever lead perfect lives with absolutely no "downside" ever in any possible way. It would therefore never be boring since it could not be boring and remain "perfect." All beings would live a perfect existence according to my perfect specifications at all times and benefit perfectly. Q.E.D. |

I liked the 'create heaven only' idea. <img src="graemlins/notworthy.gif" border="0" alt="[Not Worthy]" />
Or... If I were god, I would be invisible and never do anything to let me creations discover me. Then I would get a HOOT out of all the wars and conflict over my existance! HA HA HA HA HA!!!! |

Quote:
I suppose it depends on one's idea of perfection: "without flaws" or "capable of everything." For example, I enjoy debate, and I think I would get bored with "Holy, holy, holy" all the time. Therefore, I would probably create creations that could disagree with me, and argue quite violently. Now, perhaps creations capable of flaws wouldn't be perfect, by the one definition. But if a creature is incapable of something like argument, then is it really perfect? -Perchance. |
