When I was reading "THE GLOBE" this morning...
When I was reading the Boston Globe this morning, it flickered across muh conshishnish {That's just a few klicks down the Bay from Antigonish.} >>>>> you ever notice? How clerical boilerplate, especially RC Bishops's boilerplate, so frequently uses the PASSIVE VOICE in the 3rd person {"the Wholly Dispirited"}, when those old alleged virgins are discussing nasty matters they'd mutch rather bury like the cat in the adage? Viz: "errors of judgement were made"; etc. If you read yesterday's emission by Cardinal Outlaw, you can get your gutful of this rhetorical DEEvice very quickly. Also of course the STandard Queen{Victoria}ly practise of referring to one/himself as "WE"; eugckhhhh! When you compare this ecclesiASSTICKLE mucktrashtalk to their alleged Founder's prose, you wonder where The Feller went:viz "Let your nay be nay & your Yeah be yeah". and "I say to you ..." and "Let him that is w/o sin among you cast the first stone." and "Go & do thou likewise." etc. Whoever was writing That Guy up had an ear for dialog. Um...I have read that some Scripturologists have hazarded the opinion that Their Lord may have been non-literate. Doancha jest LOVE it? Abe
