I've never used this smiley before, but here goes:

OK, so Jesus said it's true, and it is true. So what? What are you going to do about it? If Jesus said it, and it's true - then what CAN you do about it? People will disbelieve the assertations of Christians from here on until the end of time (whenever that is). Why do you, personally, believe you are going to be the one to do something about it, when Jesus said it would happen anyway?

Default If jesus christ does return(which he wont)

I would ask him about why he did not write and/or create a language that everyone understood without anomolies and confusion especially when our eternal souls are at stake.

Why he used semantics to justify his own murderous sins

Why he lied about his return.

And many more.

But I know that he will not return, heck its 2003 and counting.

Ok winston - let me ask you this. God is completely righteous and Holy - no one remaining in sin can be in Heaven - they have to pay the penalty for committing crimes against this. So what would you suggest God do with sinners, who want nothing to do with Him and don't give a crap? Destroy them? How is that justice - the person commits eternal crimes against a Holy, Righteous God - who they want nothing to do with - and they get to just cease to exist - which is what they wanted in the first place? You call that fair and just? "Oh sure, let me just insult, ridicule, hate, and sin against God my entire life - and just get off the hook - never to face the rightful punishment I deserve. "

Now, as to why God doesn't abolish Hell. Feel free to tell me how you plan on paying back your "criminal debt" to an infinite God? What are you gonna do - bake Him cookies and expect Him to let you into His Kingdom, despite spending your life hating Him and disobeying Him constantly, while be warned of the penalty for such actions?

I don't think you have a clue what Righteous and pure Justice means. It doesn't exist on Earth, so how can you say its not fair - wth do you know about justice compared to God?

If god just lets people be blinded to the truth, he is just as guilty as people who go out and deceive others. God is not the 'good guy' in the bible.
You chose to blinded to the truth - you don't want to believe in God. Thats not His fault. God gave every human the ability to know Him and see His existence in Creation - but the world and your sin fools you into thinking you can exist without Him, and that science can explain the universe perfectly. How is that His fault? There isn't a single person on Earth who doesn't have the chance to know God. Many just plain don't want to.

Why is it that 'sins' against your deity warrants eternal punishment, whereas the same acts against human beings do not? Discriminatory punishment based on who is 'wronged' is unjust.

Stop pretending that a righteous and just god would want eternal punishment for ANYone. I think that it's you that wants that punishment on anyone who doesn't subscribe to your religion.

Once again, we come to the issue of the debt. Why does it have to be so high that people like Ghandi can't get to heaven, but anyone, however evil, can repay the debt by accepting Jesus' "sacrifice"?

Your god apparently defines justice, and any act he does is just, regardless of what it is. If morality depends on who does an act, not the act itself, it becomes meaningless.

What about those who die before they are told? Or those who still live in jungles and haven't had contact with modern civilisation?

Atheists reject morality? Don't be so ignorant.
They accept societal standards of morality. God's standards of morality are much greater.

Wow, I'd like to see an atheist that really doesn't want to believe in god. The problem magus is that we simply can't. We can't shut off our brains and blindly accept what's written in a really damn old book. Scientists aren't seeking to disprove your book or live without god, they're seeking truth, as we all are. What they find doesn't match your truth, how is that wrong?

Magus, your god's morality is hardly unchanging (despite verses to the contrary). It appears to be whatever he feels like at the time, without consultation of the ones affected by the laws.

Good ole Mark, still stuck on thinking Jesus is late, despite me explaining it countless times. Jesus can't be late if He didn't tell us when he'd return. And the verse in Matthew is not referring to Jesus' second coming. Get over Mark, its a dead argument - iv'e answered you before, and I'm sick of doing it anymore.

Since when is morality measured in length, width, height, mass, or volume?
Morality doesn't have dimensions or bulk.

Furthermore I resent your insulting implication that an atheist's sense of morality is anything "lesser" than yours.

But since it's based on the absurd assumption that morality is somehow measurable among believers and non-believers, it's doubly nonsensical, and therefore your cheap insult is dismissed.
