Whadya'll think?
Kentucky Derby Controversy Looks to me like there's something his hand, and his index and middle finger are unnaturally splayed apart. |

According to a Plain Dealer article, the Kentucky Racing Commision rules do not prohibit a jockey from holding an object besides his whip, other than those specifically prohibited, such as an electrical device that might make the horse run faster.

When I saw the first picture, the one thats been all over TV, I thought he clearly had something other than the crop in his hand. Having seen several other pictures taken at the same time, whcih were on the front page of Louisville's Courier Journal, as well as the video, I am now 95% certain that Campos didnt have anything else in his hand.

I smell a rat here. If this horse was not a gelding then I think nobody would be looking for a controversy. Sounds like sour grapes to me.
