Post King Arthur REVEALED

AKA "Inside King Arthur"
AKA "The Outing of King Arthur"
AKA "The Quest for King Arthur"
AKA "King Arthur:History or Hollywood?" (working title)

The purpose of this thread is to reveal the true identity of one "King Arthur". My apologies that it's not quite on topic for BC&A, but I think it's relevant to the lurkers here that they know the truth.

Quote:
KA: I am your King. King Arthur.
PEASANT: Well, I didn't vote for ya!
- Monty Python and the Holy Grail
For the past 2+ months, King Arthur has been running around here claiming to be top dog atheist and much smarter than all of us. He has constantly argued against positions taken by Vork, Steve Carr, and Toto, claiming that they are too "dogmatic" and not looking at things objectively.

Quote:
It's only a flesh wound! Come back and fight like a man! - Black Knight, Holy Grail
His behavior has been rude, childish, and generally in the category that (at least in my case), if presented in person, would have got the shit kicked out of him.

Quote:
Hand goes in puppet. Arm follows hand. Hand manipulates... mooooooooooooooouuuuuuuuth - Thumb Wars
As such, we have susptected from the start that he is merely a sock puppet for some disingenuous Xian trying to undermine atheistic arguments by posing as an atheist who is more "objective" than the rest.

This simply is not true.

While reviewing one of the first threads where King Arthur showed up, I noticed a few things.
  • KA showed up on May 29, just after Haran bowed out.
  • KA immediately began defending Haran's position
  • KA has the same attitude about us not knowing hebrew, exactly that mirrored by Haran before he left.
  • KA made similar comments about bias of atheists, accepting things uncritically, etc.
  • Both KA and Haran have issues with Steven Carr.
<a href="http://iidb.org/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic&f=51&t=000268" target="_blank">Reference Thread</a>

From this I posited that perhaps King Arthur was none other than Haran with a new login. Haran, for those of you not familar, is a theist (Christian flavor, that is). Definetly NOT an atheist.

But any good theory must be testable through falsifiable predictions. And the prediction would be that if they were same, their IP addresses would match. This has now been CONFIRMED by one of the adminisrators here at II. The IP addresses for both King Arthur and Haran are identical.

Do not lie to one another, since you laid aside the old self with its evil practices - Colossians 3:9
So it would seem that our "super smart atheist", is simply a rather disingenius Christian who agrees with past Church fathers that any lie is OK if it benefits the cause. (Ironic that he recently called "lcb" "mini-me", since lcb also came here claiming false pretenses about his beliefs).

So I personally would think twice about believing anything that King Arthur/Haran says, since he has now been shown to be somewhat dishonest.

(I should note that I also solved the Murder Mystery we had on New Years Eve).

Games up, Haran

I always knew King Arthur was a Myth, but who would have thought he was created with a smoke machine, 2 flashlights and a mule with a sheet over it, for the purposes of devaluing atheist mental real estate?

Better run for the hills everyone! They're checking IP addresses now! Better watch out or you'll run off all your patrons!

Given that all your posts come from the same static IP address as all of Haran's, if you're not Haran then you're obviously Haran's mate using his computer.

I liked your mate a lot better.

Me too. You were interesting and respectable as Haran.

Good spot, Kosh!

I'm just a newbie, but I have been posting to a number of boards for some time. In my experience the most interesting posts are the ones that are sincere--even on a parody-role board like Landover Baptist where 'most everyone is playing a character, one can tell who's letting their character express sincere beliefs and who has got an ulterior motive they're hiding.

As I wrote to one such poster, why slink and evade when you can stand up straight and shout out loud? It's just an internet forum, for Pete's sake. Get a spine! If your beliefs can't stand on their own in fair debate, then admit defeat and examine yourself to find why you persist in those beliefs. Maybe you'll find that there are powerful foundations you had not articulated.

I'm not really one of the regulars yet, but for my part I don't mind having Christians, Buddhists, Hindus, Shintos, or other believers on the board--it adds vital seasonings to the simmering debates, imho.
