JUSTICE SYSTEM IN SOUTH AFRICA
In 1997 I arrested a person for stealing in my parents shop. The charges were resisting arrest & theft.
After his lawer postponed the case 10 times it was throwen out of court. Last year I was a a victim in an armed robbery. two of the accused got R8000-00 bail and one got sentenced.the two that got bail "haven't been able to be traced"{so the police say}. In october last year I was a victim of an aremd robbery where military asault rifles were used.Out of aproximately 20 robbers 3 were arrested and 1 in an exchange of fire. I was in regional court today and all three got bail but only one of the accused appeared .I have to re appear on friday.I personally don't think any of the accused will and the case will just dissapear. I don't want to be under handed in this situation or start taking the law into my own hands as I've got good wife to think of. I don't have any faith in the S.A.Judical system do any of you have any sugestions how to handle this situation. <img src="confused.gif" border="0"> |

Warren,
I don't think this thread is in the best place. I'm not sure where you will receive the best response, so out of default I am going to send it to Misc. Discussion.
