Does the argument for the EoG/religion have its genesis in two basic questions?
Where did we come from?
Where are we going? I think that these two questions are the root of the belief in the Abrahamic God and most religions. And those who have attempted to answer these questions have done so through the fabrication of the God(s) myths, and the holy books to buttress their case. From this has sprung the religions we see today, whose leadership are, and have been, much more about trying to acquire "the usual" money, power and influence, than answering those questions. Do the holy books, and the myths of all Gods spring from these two questions? I tend to believe that we are a product of accidental creation and then the evolutionary process, but I am a strong agnostic because I don't have the definitive answer to the first question. I don't think the answer to the second one is all that difficult, we go nowhere when we die, we just die. What do you think? David "God, and religion, the oldest scam in history, and they still suck them in today. So free your mind, and your body will follow! |
