"... and try this one for size. That's craftsmanship, I tell you."
"Can I have one mum - I mean, DAD?" "Oh all right. I'll take two rocks and a packet of gravel." |

waste of time
Greetings River,
you didn't even READ my posts did you? Just TWICE pasted a passage from your favourite web site's "Is the Text of the Quran reliable?" page. You completely ignored the vast majority of my post - including the actual EVIDENCE in the `aditha of many and various types of textual instability - and then you had the chutzpah to accuse me of not providing evidence! And you MADE up a false and childish story about a dog chewing on the Quran - are you mad? Dogs are unclean to conservative muslims, the story would horify a devout muslim. As far as I can tell, there was NO such story, you just MADE IT UP and then tried to use it to ridicule me! You are an idiot. Its a complete waste of time debating with you River, you haven't a clue - good luck with your life :-) Iasion |

1) What you posted ...is by far the lamest definition of Evidence one can possibly give. I will only address authentic narrations. 2) Dogs were not always considered unclean. In the Qur'an , there is a passage about the Sleepers and their companion pet dog. And there is another passage where a prostitute gave water to a dying dog and was given entry to Paradise for her "purity" and good action. |

With all due respect, you may think that way, but your statement is just a Poisoning of the Well. To convince us, you are going to have to demonstrate why Iasion's is, ". . . by far the lamest definition of Evidence one can possibly give." Particularly on a board where members have read "young Earth creationism!" --J.D. |

I wouldn't be surprised if Iasion was also a YEC....
I would really like to address his post right down to the minute detail...but it is a colossal waste of time...for few here realize that Hadiths have a very thorough system of narration / and verification. How can I explain a language, in one post....that would theoretically be explained in books/stacks? No one speaks the language, here ...thus I dont want to make it as if I speak to the wall. I don't like it when posters start bringing out Hadiths out of thin air. There is more than a couple hundred thousand hadiths. The effort would be painstalkingly exhaustive and belabored. ( and possibly fruitless , especially if no one is listening) |

It is something the NT people do here all the time when someone makes a strange claim.
Take a deep breath, pick one of his statements, take some time, work through it. Otherwise, it would be akin to claiming, "tons of evidence exists for Young Earth Creation, and I do not have the time to show it here!" --J.D. |

Personally, I wouldn't trust Muslim scholars anymore than I trust Christian scholars.
