I don't think the ancient Greeks owed us any explantion but I would just conclude that if the mind of God is onmiscient it took us more than 2000 years to do the science for this (remember here that science extrapolates from omniscience).

It must be noted here that just as we were created in the image of God so did we procreate God in our image and that is how the duration in time can be explained (it means that we still have the mind of God).

if you study the classic greek myths, you will find in different words the same story as in the bible.
In the myth the ship argo and jason was after the golden fleece, which we now know as DNA, now the keel of the ship gave the instructions to the helm, to navigate its way, this is important.
Now when jason went ashore he found the golden fleece and was healed.

Eta carina is the keel of the argo navis constellation, by coincidence again.

Vela is the sail of the argo.

Come on, they knew THAT much and didn't have the Internet? I mean hell, even Al Gore could invent the Internet.

You are interpreting the bible, and any other book, all of which can be construed to mean a bazillion things if you try hard enough, to fit science as it is today. 500 years from now is it going to fit then too? What if we've got some major theories wrong?

And, did they receive all of this knowledge divinely? Or will we uncover some ancient vessels and labs that were used for testing purposes? Of course, I'd imagine that would be the Ark...

By the way, what do your theories say about the bible's account of a mass flood?

I admire NW for his insight and research and I don't even try to follow his posts. NW may not be exactly right and his position must be welcomed as a different perspective for you to ponder but not remember in detail. If I was more confident in physics I would have argued something like that a long time ago because I know it's there.
