Of course you are under no obligation to answer, however, remember you are posting on a board of strangers who want you to clarify your beliefs. We are largely skeptics here and asking questions is, shall we say, instinct, and is an excellent way to seek knowledge. If you have any questions of me regarding the closing or deletion of threads you've made in forums which I moderate, feel free to send me a private message by clicking my profile, or email me at aspenmama@hotmail.com |

I want to know why either RRP or the "philosopher" fora are getting all the new fundies. How come none of 'em ever come over to E/C? The one or two we've got are getting worn out and repetitious. Check out the newbie Thanatos on E/C. Of course, it's more of the same old same old. |

I think you're misunderstanding Barbara's intentions. She isn't here to answer questions or explain her faith. She is here to "witness". If she tells us all what she believes she has done all that's required of her. It doesn't matter that she didn't convert any of us. Her goal is not to convert us, but to fulfill the minimum requirements to get to heaven.

Where does the bible say what the minimum requirements are?
How do you know if you've got the right version of the bible? |

Another misunderstanding I'm afraid. It's not what the Bible says but rather what the minister says the Bible says that counts.

Welcom from yet another Coloradoan!
You said that we should not blame "our" heavenly father for your inability to defend the faith. I just wanted to let you know that it is virtually gauranteed that nobody here will blame "our heavenly father." You could just about bank on it. :-) Also, I do not think anybody here would want to blame you, or hold you responsible in any way for what the book says, or your inability to defend it. Why? Because a large number of people believe it is indefensible! By anybody, living or otherwise. Besides, it isn't as if you wrote it right? So don't worry about that. But I am a little confused about one thing... As an Evangelical Christian, would you share with me your views on women speaking in public (can't get any more public than this) on this "holiest" of topics? |

*thinks those posting on atheist forums as "True Christian" likely prone to other such cautious acts as taunting grizzly bears and kicking sleeping pit bulls. not to mention that "love and obey me or I will get really pissed off and do you harm" crap is usually reserved for abusive husbands and psycho stalkers.*
